"Devora and Barak"

Devora and her husband, Barak, are buried a couple of hundred meters north of the site of Asher and Naftali. This area is about 12 Kilometers south of Kiryat Shmona and approximately 2.5 kilometers to the west is the current Lebanese border.

Devora The Prophetess came from the tribe of Naftali. She was one of the 7 revealed prophetesses in the Tanach (Bible). Independently well to do, she owned palm trees in Jerico, orchards in Ramah, olive trees in Beth-el and a white earth mine in Tur Malka. She taught Torah publicly to her generation. She, through her prophecy, led the nation of Israel to victory over the armies of Sisera.
