"Notes at the Kotel: Prayers, Thanks, Hopes, Dreams, and Get Well Wishes"
Visitors (Jewish and non-Jewish) to the Kotel (Western Wall of the Temple Mount) as well as local Jerusalemites quite often put written prayers into the ancient cracks between the stones. There is a belief that that little extra effort also helps to awaken divine mercy.
